A Bit About Therapy

Guiding You On the Path of Self-Healing

A good therapist is an agent of change that can help people of all ages live happier, healthier and more productive lives. Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my clients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with life’s various obstacles. My therapy sessions are designed to break down personal issues and provide clients with effective tools to help them adaptively cope with the various struggles we face each day.

Many of my clients have been to a therapist before but were frustrated with the way the therapist took a passive approach to therapy. My clients appreciate my honest and straightforward approach.

In my experience, the clients who experience the best results come ready to work on the issues that hold them back from being who and what they want to be. They take initiative, they follow through, and they work hard to get to the root of their troubles. They are committed to  growing and they are ready to let go of old habits that no longer work for them. My most successful clients are seeking meaningful and lasting change, and they are ready to do the work.

Get to Know Me

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”

- Viktor E. Frankl

I graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology before relocating to the Chicago suburbs to attend Wheaton College for my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

My graduate studies were extremely rigorous, and I received hundreds of hours of live supervision. It was a challenging and difficult experience in myriad ways, but the experience developed and honed my clinical skills, which made me the compassionate and empathetic therapist I am today.

As a licensed Therapist in College Station, I am committed to the well-being of all my patients and go above and beyond to cater to their needs.

I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. I began my career working as a therapist in a behavioral hospital on the West Side of Chicago for children and teenagers who suffer from personality disorders and psychosis due to severe trauma. I've worked with children and teens who have suffered physical abuse, mental abuse, and sexual abuse. I worked with girls who were recovered from sex trafficking operations, clients who identified as LGBTQ+, and a variety of other children and teens dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives.

I utilize several evidence-based theoretical approaches in therapy, and

I integrate a number of models depending on the issues I’m treating. Some of the most common approaches I use are:

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Solution-Focused Therapy

Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Motivational Interviewing

Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)
